Pipeline Replacement

The underground pipe such as gas pipe, water pipe and sewer pipe, etc. shall be replaced due to the shortage of periodic maintenance or improper construction and piping material used, earthquake impact and traffic loading etc. But it is difficulty to replace or excavate in the urban city due to traffic and complicated pipe.
Japan developed the non-open cut method, pipeline automatic lining system. This method is improved the durability and seismic resistance of pipe to solve the aging and leaking effectively.
And this method is also applied to the long-distance pipe and curved pipe. The material is allowed to used in water for long-term duration.
The repair of non-open cut method is classified into Cured-In-Place Pipe (CIPP or called reverse) spiral and spiral. It is usually adopted the CIPP method for pipe diameter under 800mm in Taiwan.

The procedure as bellow:

1) Cleaning the damaged or existing pipe.

2) Using the closed-circuit television (CCTV) to inspect the damage location.

3) Inserting the flexible material tube between the manholes.

4) Solidifying the flexible material tube by hot water, steam, water, air or other method.
